THE ASTRONOMER: 2007 ANNUAL MEETING
I am pleased to advise you that the 2007 annual meeting of 'The 
Astronomer' will again take place in St. Mary's Church Hall Complex, 
Basingstoke and this year on Saturday 2007 October 20.

The main speaker will be Dr. Robin Catchpole who is returning due to 
unprecedented popular demand. This year his lecture will be entitled:

'Are We Alone?'

Details of other speakers and booking arrangements will be sent later 
but in the meantime please reserve this date in your diaries!

THE ASTRONOMER, 2007 APRIL ISSUE
Numerous e-mails have been received from both UK subscribers and those 
in continental Europe reporting receipt of the April issue of 'The 
Astronomer' on April 27 and 28. As yet we have not had confirmation of 
deliveries beyond Europe.

Thank you for the numerous messages but we will now only need advice if 
you do NOT receive the issue by Wednesday May 2. Although our on-line 
complaint has still not be processed by Royal Mail or even acknowledged 
we are still pursuing this as the service is very poor. In the meantime 
we have, where requested, added people to a pilot exercise to receive 
pdf copies via e-mail during a trial period.

Apologies again for any inconvenience this postal problem has caused our 
readers.
