During that time Nick James, whose contact details appear on the first page of each issue of TA, has kindly agreed to issue any e-circulars and handle potential discovery claims. NOVA VULPECULAE 2007 David Boyd comments that this nova has brightened markedly over the past 24 hours and is now almost as bright as its first maximum at V=8.1 on Aug 9.4. Having dropped to around V=9.4 and stayed there for two and a half days, it has now risen again to V=8.4 on Aug 13.4 according to observations reported to the AAVSO website at http://www.aavso.org/. He has recently seen a message reporting it at magnitude 8.2 so it is definitely worth monitoring. Maurice Gavin has also drawn our attention to results he received via Robin Leadbeater showing Mike Irwin has detected the object on IPHAS images of 2007 June 26 under photometric conditions field #5415: RA Dec r r_err i i_err Ha Ha_err 19 54 24.62 20 52 52.2 18.337 0.016 18.103 0.039 18.014 0.026 field #5415o: RA Dec r r_err i i_err Ha Ha_err 19 54 24.63 20 52 52.3 18.356 0.017 18.086 0.038 18.067 0.032 Mike Irwin has also noted extended H-alpha emission in the form of a faint nebula quite close to the nova which can be seen at: http://deneb.astro.warwick.ac.uk/phsdaj/public_html/NovaVul2007/ Martin Mobberley has checked his unfiltered images of 2 to 60 second exposure times but has been unable to detect the nebulosity. If anyone has an image showing this detail please contact the editor. SUPERNOVAE 2007glm 2007gm, 2007gn The "Nearby Supernova Factory" collaboration reports on The Astronomer's Telegrams the discovery of three supernovae in images obtained on July 31, Aug. 3 and 5 UT using the QUEST-II camera on the Palomar Oschin 1.2-m Schmidt telescope, operated by the Palomar-QUEST Consortium. R-band discovery magnitudes and astrometry were derived from comparison with the USNO-B1.0 catalogue. SN 2007 UT R.A. (2000.0) Decl.
