Albert Jones, New Zealand reports it at visual magnitude 9.5 on 2008 Jan 19 (14:58UT). This is the second brightest outburst in this object's recorded history, behind the major outburst of ~ 8.5v, recorded in 1955. The AAVSO ask observers to continue monitoring this object through the current outburst. Filtered photometry of this outburst is encouraged; all observations including visual will be very useful in tracking the evolution of this current activity. EX Lup is located at RA: 16:03:05.5 , Dec: -40:18:25 (J2000) SUPERNOVA 2007uz IN PGC 34755 Discovery by Taiwan Supernova Survey a possible supernova (CBET 1192): SN 2007 UT R.A. (2000.0) Decl. Mag.
