DWARF NOVA IN CANIS MINORIS
Further to the note on TA E-Circular 2414, Jeremy Shears, Bunbury 
Observatory, England reports his observations of this object during a ~4 
h run from 2008 Jan 24.812 to 24.976, during which the average magnitude 
was 13.03 (CCD unfiltered). This showed 0.15 mag superhumps with a 
period of 0.0572 d. The equipment used was:
Takahashi FS102, 0.1 m fluorite refractor, Starlight Xpress SXV-M7 
unfiltered.

SUPERNOVA 2008G IN UGC 2851
Discovery by P. Thrasher, W. Li, and A. V. Filippenko of a possible 
supernova (CBET 1208):

SUPERNOVA 2008H IN ESO 499-G5

SUPERNOVA 2008I IN NGC 3978
Discovery by LOSS of a possible supernova (CBET 1210):

The type-Ia supernova 2003cq also appeared in NGC 3978

SUPERNOVA 2008L IN NGC 1259
Discovery by Yasuhide Fujita, Japan during the SNOW project of a 
possible supernova (CBET 1212):

2008L   Jan 14.49   03 17 16.65  +41 22 57.6  18.7   6  "W,10"  S
At confirmation on Jan 16.619UT the object has brightened to magnitude 
17.8.

SUPERNOVA 2008M IN ESO 121-026
Discovery by Brazilian Supernovae Search of a possible supernova (CBET 
1214):
SN      2008 UT      R.A.  (2000.0)  Decl.    Mag.     Offset
2008M   Jan 15.12   06 21 41.28  -59 43 45.4  15.5  16.5"E,38.6"N
A red Digitised Sky Survey plate shows a faint H II region close to the 
position of 2008M.
