E. Brown, C. A. Trujillo and D. L. Rabinowitz at Palomar, has been categorised as a dwarf planet. It thus joins the dwarf planet group of Ceres, Pluto and Eris with the latter two also called Plutoids. The naming citation for (136472) has also appeared on M.P.C. 63395. THE ASTRONOMER ANNUAL MEETING 2008 OCTOBER 10-11 We understand that some hotels on the accommodation page of our website are now full on the dates of the TA meeting at the Norman Lockyer Observatory. David Strange has provided us with a further contact with comments: "It is more a family hotel, but the Bulstone Hotel, Branscombe will probably have rooms available in October. It is about two miles from the observatory." See: http://www.childfriendlyhotels.co.uk/ SUPERNOVA 2008dt IN NGC 6261 Discovery by LOSS of a possible supernova (CBET 1423): SN 2008 UT R.A.
