THE ASTRONOMER ANNUAL MEETING 2009
This year's annual meeting of 'The Astronomer' will be held at St Mary's 
Church Hall Complex on Saturday October 24 starting at 11am with doors 
opening and coffee served from 10.30am.

A provisional list of speakers with brief content but not final titles 
include:

Dr. Roger Wesson (exploding stars)
Tony Markham (from TA archives)
Alan Dowdell (deep sky)
Nick James (probably eclipse matters)
John Murrell (amateur virtual observatory)
Guy Hurst (TA annual report)

Booking arrangements will be circulated shortly but please note the date 
in your diaries.

MARK HURST
I must again apologise for late replies to messages being sent to the 
editor as we are away most days visiting our son Mark at the neurology 
department of Southampton University Hospital where he is undergoing 
various complex tests for a condition yet to be diagnosed. Many of you 
are already aware of Mark's situation and Anne and myself are very 
grateful for the numerous messages which have been sent to us over 
recent weeks.

It is hoped the August issue of the magazine can be despatched on time 
but trust you will bear with us if personal commitments mean it is a few 
days late this time.
