They then obtained five unfiltered CCD frames (limiting mag 17.5) around Oct. 26.455 using a 0.40-m f/9.8 reflector, yielding mag 9.3 and the following position for the new star: RA 18h 31m 32.79s DEC -16 19' 07.5" (2000). Nothing is visible at this position on their two recent survey frames taken on Oct. 20.449 (limiting mag 13.9) and 21.451 (limiting mag 13.4). Following an appeal from the Central Bureau P. Corelli of Italy reports that his 10-s CCD frame taken on Oct. 26.764 with a 0.45-m f/4.4 reflector yields mag 9.3 and position end figures 32.79s, 07.8"; he adds that nothing is visible at this position on a Palomar plate (limiting mag 21.0). The AAVSO report that finder charts may be plotted by entering the coordinates above into AAVSO VSP: http://www.aavso.org/observing/charts/vsp/ Observations should be reported to Gary Poyner and a copy can be sent, if you wish, to the AAVSO International Database as: N SGR 2009#4 Guy M Hurst
