The object, of magnitude 18.3, was recorded on a single night on Feb 11.868UT and located at: RA 09h 35m 56.01s DEC +74o 00' 00.5" (2000), which is approximately 6.9" east and 3.3" north of the centre of the host galaxy. Nothing is present at this position on Tom's images of 2006 Jan 20 and 2006 Mar 5 (limiting mag 19.5) or on Digitised Sky Survey Plates from 1991-12-06 (limiting red mag 20.5), and 1952-08-22 (limiting blue mag 21.0). In a further e-mail today (Feb 13) Tom reports he has obtained confirmation images (Feb 13.066UT) and measurements yield end figures: RA 56.03s, DEC 00.6". The magnitude remains the same as at discovery. Due to a computer problem at the Central Bureau and Minor Planet Center, the discovery and designation have not yet been announced. Congratulations to Tom on the discovery of his 128th supernova. Guy M Hurst
