Puckett on an image taken with a 0.4-m reflector at Portal, AZ, U.S.A., on Apr. 14.39 UT P. Challis et. al., on behalf of the CfA Supernova Group, reports that spectroscopic observations of Apr. 15 UT by P. Berlind with the F. L. Whipple Observatory 1.5-m telescope (+ FAST), shows it to be a type-IIn supernova. (CBET 2243) SUPERNOVA 2010br IN NGC 4051 Discovery by Vitali Nevaki, Belarus of a possible supernova (CBET 2245): SN 2010 UT R.A. (2000.0) Decl. Mag. Maxwell et. al., University of Victoria and others report that a noisy spectrogram of Apr. 14.25 with the 1.82-m Plaskett Telescope of the National Research Council of Canada, shows the spectrum to be similar to that of a type-Ib/c supernova.
