EXTRAGALACTIC NOVA NEAR NGC 4258
R. Chornock et. al., (Harvard/CfA) report on ATEL 2680 the discovery of 
an extragalactic classical nova in the field near NGC 4258 by the 
Pan-STARRS1 Medium Deep Survey.  The transient (ID:PS1-1000254) was 
discovered at g=20.9 mag on 2010 June 3.30 UT at the
position: (J2000) 12:20:55.217  +46:49:55.52

The object DID NOT HAVE A CLEAR ASSOCIATION WITH A HOST GALAXY and 
rapidly faded to g=22.4 mag by 2010 June 6.35.

SUPERNOVA 2010cl IN MCG -02-25-20
Discovery by the CHASE Project of a possible supernova (CBET 2266):

SUPERNOVA 2010cm IN PGC 5597
Discovery by Stuart Parker, New Zealand of a possible supernova (CBET 
2268):

2010cm  May  3.75   01 30 03.91  -42 41 10.6  16.1   15  "W,  1  "S
The type-II supernovae 2005Q (IAUC 8473) and 2005me (IAUC 8647) also 
appeared in this galaxy.

SUPERNOVA 2010cn IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY

Discovery by Siding Spring Survey of a possible supernova (CBET 2280):

2010cq  May  8.73   21 01 44.10  -14 38 30.5  16.4    4.3"E, 26.4"N
The host galaxy (2MASS Flat Galaxy Catalogue number 15924) has redshift 
z = 0.0275 (6dF Galaxy Survey.

SUPERNOVA 2010cr IN NGC 5177
Discovery by Koichi Itagaki, Japan of a possible supernova (CBET 2281):

2010cr  May 15.61   13 29 25.03  +11 47 46.4  17.0   11  "E,  3  "S
The new object, which was also found at mag 16.3 by Itagaki on an 
unfiltered pre-discovery frame taken on May 1.65 with a 0.50-m f/6 
reflector
