The object is located at R.A. = 17h16m33s.34 +/- 0s.01, Decl. = +57o52'08".3 +/- 0".1 (equinox 2000.0), which is approximately 2".0 west and 0".4 south of the center of MCG +10-24-122. Nothing is present at this position on Tom's images from 2010 July 18 and May 10 (limiting mag 19.5) or on Digitized Sky Survey plates from 1993 Apr. 22 (limiting red mag 20.5) and 1991 Apr. 16 (limiting blue mag 21.0). Tom also measured magnitude V = 17.4 for 2010hl on Sept. 3.1754 using an image taken with the 0.61-m Cassegrain reflector at the Sierra Stars Observatory, Alpine County, California (limiting mag 20.5). He has uploaded a x2 image to the following website URL: http://www.supernova.myzen.co.uk/images/mcg10-24-122(60)x2-marked.jpg Congratulations to Tom on the discovery of his 136th supernova.
