Balanutsa et. al., SAI, Moscow and others report on Astronomer's Telegram 2931 the MASTER auto-detection system at Kislovodsk has recorded a new transient source at: RA 01h 53m 47.24s DEC +30 38m 44s.0 (J2000) with a typical uncertainty of 0.2". It was imaged on 2010 Oct 1 at 23:25:48 (UT) The V magnitude was about 17.9 +-0.1 (limiting magnitude 19.0). The OT was seen on the next 7 images until Oct 12 in R and V. The OT is blue: R-V=1.43 at Oct 1.9UT. There is no minor planet or any object brighter 21 mag in DSS at this place. They also have a number of images of this field without the OT. The last one was made at 2009 Dec 8 (18:25:50) and had a limit V=19.4. The nearest known galaxy is PGC1908869 (RA 01h 53m 55.00s DEC +30 33m 59.0s). The OT as a supernova candidate is relatively far and brighter than the possible host galaxy. Spectral observations as well as photometry are needed. Each programme has the name of the person booking and a unique reference number. If those who sent bookings have not received the programme please let the editor know as soon as possible. Similarly if anyone has so far not booked please contact the editor as soon as possible as the capacity of this venue is much smaller than those of meetings at Basingstoke and Sidmouth so knowing our numbers in advance is quite important.
