Larson report on The Astronomer's Telegram 2938 that the Catalina Real-time Transient Survey (CRTS) has extracted the CSS photometry at the location of MASTER OT 015347+303844 (see TA E-Circular 2678). Over the period 2004 Jan 5 to 2010 Oct 9 the transient is detected in images taken on 2008 Sept 23, 2008-Sept 30 & 2010 Oct 9 with approximate V magnitudes of 19.2, 19.4 and 19.8, respectively. The presence of an outburst in September 2008 suggests that the object is likely a cataclysmic variable (CV) and is certainly not a supernova. Additionally, the brightness of the transient appears to vary between the observations taken on 2010 Oct 9. As these images are separated by an interval of ~13 mins, this rapid variability supports classification of the transient as a CV. SUPERNOVAE 2010hf IN MCG +09-11-21 G. H. Marion and P. Challis, Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (CfA), on behalf of the CfA Supernova Group, report that a low-signal-to-noise spectrum (range 360-740 nm) of 2010hf (cf TA E-Circular 2671) obtained on Sept. 2 UT by P. Berlind with the F. L. Whipple Observatory 1.5-m telescope (+ FAST), shows it to be a type-IIb supernova then a few days after maximum light.
