The object was recorded on Feb 12.864UT using a 0.35-m Cassegrain telescope and an unfiltered CCD. The new object is located at: RA 07h 40m 26.01s. DEC +54 51'12".7 (2000), which is approximately 4.2"W and 5.4"S of the centre of MCG +09-13-28. Nothing is present at this position on Tom's images from 2009 Jan 02 and 2010 Dec 06 (limiting mag 19.5) or on Digitised Sky Survey Plates from 1995-02-25 (limiting red mag 20.5), and 1998-03-23 (limiting blue mag 21.0). An initial designation of PSN J07402601+5451127 was assigned but to date no spectral confirmation has been obtained. Congratulations to Tom on this presumed supernova, his 139th. Supernova 2011ap (cf TA E-Circular 2720) was therefore his 140th. Guy M Hurst
