R. W. Pogge, Ohio State University; P. Garnavich, Univeristy of Notre 
Dame; and M. Pedani, Large Binocular Telescope (LBT) Observatory, report 
that a spectrogram od Mar. 21UT is similar to the peculiar type-Ia 
supernova 1999aa at 11 days before maximum.

SUPERNOVA 2011ba = PSN J08230906+1604170 (SARNECZKY)

J. Vinko, University of Szeged and others report that a spectrum of Apr. 
1.2 UT with the 9.2-m Hobby-Eberly Telescope shows it to be a type-Ia 
supernova a few days after maximum light.
