APPARENT SUPERNOVA IN MCG+11-15-028 (PSN J12082446+6256340)
Tom Boles, Coddenham, England e-mailed us on 2012 May 16 to report his 
discovery of an apparent magnitude 18.2 supernova on unfiltered CCD 
images taken on 2012 May 14.989 and 15.983 with a 0.35-m Schmidt 
Cassegrain reflector during searches for the UK Nova/Supernova Patrol. 
The new object is located at:
RA 12h 08m 24.46s DEC +62 56' 24.0" (2000), which is approximately 0.2"E 
and 6.3"S from the centre of the galaxy MCG +11-15-028 =
PGC 38541.

Nothing is present at this position on Tom's images from 2011 Feb 12 and 
Apr 10 (limiting mag 19.5) or on Digitised Sky Survey Plates from 1996 
Dec 19 (limiting red mag 20.5), and 1995 Apr 25 (limiting blue mag 
21.0).

Massimiliano Martignoni, Italy reports that on May 18.847 he obtained a 
position of:
RA 12h 08m 24.50s DEC: +62 56' 25.0" (2000) Mag 15.6(Rc)
Using a 0.25-m f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain and CCD.
