Unfortunately no spectra were obtained as far as the editor is aware. The Central Bureau provisionally assigned PSN J19000440+4851378 to the object. The discovery was of an apparent supernova (mag 17.9) on unfiltered CCD images taken on 2011 Oct 19.939 and 20.777 with a 0.35-m reflector found during searches for the UK Nova/Supernova Patrol. The new object is located at: RA 19h 00m 04.40s DEC +48 51' 37.8" (2000), which is approximately 6.1" west and 4.5" north of the centre of MCG+8-34-30 (PGC62660). Nothing is present at this position on Tom's images from 2010 Nov 10 and Oct 30 (limiting mag 19.5) or on Digitised Sky Survey Plates from 1992-08-26 (limiting red mag 20.5), and 1990-07-21 (limiting blue mag 21.0). A follow-up magnitude of 19.3 +/-0.1C was obtained on 2011 Oct 21.21UT by Joseph Brimacombe, Cairns, Australia. This was the 147th supernova found by Tom Boles and our congratulations to him on this further success. Guy M Hurst
