Your help would be much appreciated. PNV J18523496-0018423 Koichi Nishiyama and Fujio Kabashima, both of Japan report discovery of possible magnitude 12.6 nova in Aquila on two 40-s unfiltered CCD frames taken around 2012 Oct. 20.429 UT (limiting magnitude 13.8), using a 105-mm f/4 camera lens (+SBIG STL6303E camera). The position is: RA 18h 52m 34.96s DEC -00 18' 42.3" They confirmed the appearance of their discovery on five 3-s unfiltered CCD frames taken around 2012 Oct 20.435 UT (limiting Magnitude 18.5), using a Meade 0.40-m f/9.8 reflector (+SBIG STL1001E camera). Nothing is visible at this location on two past survey frames taken on 2012 Oct 12.470 UT(limiting mag.14.1) and 14.472 UT (limiting mag. 14.1) nor on 2MASS, USNO-B1.0 but prediscovery images, mag=13.2 were recorded on Oct. 15.428 UT (limiting magnitude 14.1 ), mag. 12.3, Oct. 18.434 UT (limiting magnitude 14.1 ), mag. 12.2 Oct.19.434 UT (limiting magnitude 14.0 ). The nearest star in USNO B1.0 has position end figures 34s913, 42"48, distance 0".7, magnitudes R1=19.25 I=18.09 Guy M Hurst
