GIOVANNI SOSTERO (1964-2012)
We have heard the sad news that Giovanni Sostero of Italy passed away on 
2012 December 6 according to a message from his colleague Ernesto Guido.

We heard that he had suffered a heart attack on November 10 and 
thereafter remained in a coma until doctors tried some surgery to revive 
him but without success.

The editor well remembers Giovanni's stay at TAHQ and also his prolific 
contribution to the magazine as well as his long standing subscription 
to TA via the Associazione Friulana di Astronomia e Meteorologia of 
Remanzacco in Italy.

His image contributions exceeded 300 and covered an amazing range of 
objects from comets, novae, supernovae, asteroids and much more.

Our condolences to his wife Sara and to his many astronomical friends 
throughout the world.
