Wren et. al., Los Alamos National Laboratory reports on 'The Astronomer's Telegram 5316 that three RAPTOR full-sky persistent monitors located in Los Alamos, NM, and Maui, HI, detected the pre-discovery emergence of Nova Delphini 2013 at magnitude 10.1 at 6:58UT on 2013 August 14. Photometry of the nova shows a rapid rise to approximately magnitude 8.5 by 8UT and then a more gradual rise to approximately magnitude 7.5 by 14UT (the time of discovery by Koichi Itagaki). Our full-sky persistent monitors imaged the nova every 10s during this time period, a total of about 2500 photometric measurements before 14 UT. Nick James was operating a meteor camera covering the area of the nova field on August 14. His last meteor patrol frame which has the field in a completely clear gap is at 0207UT. He estimates that the nova was fainter than 8.0V at that point. After that there are fleeting glimpses of the field in gaps but all are affected by cloud. PLUTO OCCULTATION 2013 AUGUST 22 Further to the prediction on E-Circular 1945: Lyu Abe reports a positive detection of the Pluto event from Caussols (code 010) near Nice, with the "C2PU" 1-m telescope, 1 sec integration time. The mid-occultation time was ~21:02:30 UT (Aug 22), about 2,5 min after the time expected from the latest update by Felipe Braga. On the other hand, the event seems consistent with the prediction in the N-S direction. SUPERNOVA 2013eu IN UGC 5609 (GIANCARLO CORTINI) 2013eu Aug 11.88 10 24 22.31 +78 36 23.5 15.6 3 "W 9 "S L.
