The new object is located at: RA 17h 33m 39.53s DEC +50o 22' 25.5" (2000), approximately 16.7"E and 1.2"N of the centre of the galaxy UGC 10908. Nothing is present at this position on Tom's images of 2013 May 2 and of June 6 (limit 19.5) nor on the Digised Survey plates of 1987 Apr 24 (limit red 20.5) and 1987 May 4 (limit blue 21.0). Ron Arbour recorded it on Sept 23.79UT at 17.5 (0.35-m f/6 reflector, end figures 39.57s, 25.8"). Nick James measured 17.0 on Sept 23.81, C11 + ST8XE, end figures 39.54s, 25.4"). Tianmeng Zhang, National Astronomical Observatories of China et. al., report an optical spectrogram was obtained on Sept. 25.48 with the 2.16-m telescope at the Xinglong Station of the NAOC. The spectrum is consistent with that of a type-IIP supernova a few days after maximum light. Congratulations on Tom's 154th supernova. Guy M Hurst
