The provisional position measured was: RA 14h00m54.49s DEC +40 58 59.6 12" south of the nucleus Martin Mobberley, having received an advice from the discoverer, responded almost immediately. After logging into ITEL and found New Mexico cloudy so used the new Sierra Nevada Mountains 24" by recording the galaxy. The result was loaded at: http://martinmobberley.co.uk/images/psnj14005449+4058596_20140419_mpm.jpg recording the suspect on April 19.350UT on a 120sec exposure with the 0.61-m f/6.5 CDK + PL 09000 CCD. He assessed the magnitude as 17.0 using a sequence by Stan Howerton. Stan Howerton had earlier recorded it as follows: 2014 Apr 19.148UT 21 x 20 seconds unfiltered exposures with 0.28m f/5 SCT + CCD. Photometry of 17.0 +/- 0.1 with V as reference. Image: https://www.flickr.com/photos/watchingthesky/13931569244/ The KAIT team also relayed a marginal pre-discovery detection at ~3 sigma level by KAIT on April 16.425 UT with mag R~17.3 +/- 0.3, but no detection on April 14.392 with limiting mag ~17.5, and on April 10.4 with limiting mag ~18.3. Denis Buczynski, Tarbatness (I81) also recorded it on Apr 19.89374UT with a Celestron 14 + SBIG ST9XE + Cousins r filter with positional end figures: RA 54.49s DEC 00.7" magnitude 16.0R. There may be a spectrum but no announcement of the discovery or its designation has been issued by the Central Bureau at the time of this circular. Guy M Hurst
