LUNAR ECLIPSE, 2014 OCTOBER 8
Graham Wolf, New Zealand, reports provisional Danjon Estimates for the
recent lunar eclipse:

11:16  UT     2.4
11:20  UT     3.6
11:23  UT     3.2
11:24  UT     2.8

Richard Keen, USA had previously reported that despite various volcanic
events in various parts of the world including alerts from Iceland (which
luckily did not cause the editor’s plane to be diverted) he did not expect
this eclipse to be very dark. 

CI CYGNI
Mike Gainsford, Burbage, England reports that CI Cygni has apparently
entered a bright phase. On 2014 Oct 07, 2039UT his estimate was equal to E
(magnitude 10.5). There was a very bright moon present. He adds that on Oct
05 it was about a mag fainter
 
Ray Pearce, Shepshed, England reports magnitude 10.7 on Oct 08 at 21:40UT.

CORRECTION
The heading of circular E3030 should have read ‘flickering’.

SUPERNOVA 2014cn IN NGC 4134 = (LOSS)
2014cn  Apr 24.38   12 09 11.54  +29 10 20.9  17.6  20  "E   16  "S
Nick James reported to the Central Bureau that on 2014 April 26.892UT
V=17.3; position end figures 11s.49, 21".1.
W. Zheng: spectrum June 30 type-IIP supernova similar to a number of
type-IIP supernovae at about a month to several months after the explosion.
