MASTER OT J055152.63+402118.6 - POSSIBLE NEW CV
S Shurpakov et. al., (Kislovodsk Solar Station of Pulkovo Observatory),
reports on ATEL 6847 that The MASTER-Tunka auto-detection system discovered
an optical transient source (OT) at: RA 05h 51m 52.63s DEC +40d 21m 18.6s on
2014 Dec 22.766UT. The OT unfiltered magnitude is 16.8m (limit 18.6m) and
seen on 8 images. They have a reference image without the OT on 2011 Dec
27.712UT with unfiltered magnitude limit 19.5m. 
The OT at quiescence is identical to the blue star USNO-B1.0 1303-0146452
(B1=20.09 R1=19.27 B2=20.52 R2=20.01). Chart is

Nothing is present at this position in 1RXS, 2MASS, GCVS and AAVSO VSX. This
area of sky in Auriga is not covered by SDSS and Catalina Sky Survey. No
previous outbursts were detected by NEAT project on 3 nights from 2001 Dec.
20 to 2002 Feb. 02. 
Based on the blue colour and amplitude of variability, MASTER OT
J055152.63+402118.6 is likely a new cataclysmic variable (dwarf nova in
outburst).
