He was using a 0.35-m f/6 Schmidt Cassegrain Telescope and SXVF H9 CCD camera. The object was also recorded on several subsequent images to a limiting unfiltered magnitude of 18.1. He measured a precise position for the new object: RA 15h 04m 40.78s DEC +12 37' 43.6" (2000) offsets: 3" E 16" S The object was not visible on the Digitised Sky Survey POSS II Blue plate (1993 March 19) or the POSS II Red plate (1989 Feb 11) nor listed on CBAT's Minor Planet Checker. An appeal for spectroscopic confirmation has been posted on the Central Bureau's webpage under the temporary designation of PSN J15044078+1237436. G. Masi et. al., observed the transient on 2015 June 16.93241UT remotely using the 17"-f/6.8 robotic unit part of the Virtual Telescope Project facility, at Bellatrix Astronomical Observatory in Ceccano, Italy. 120-seconds exposures, unfiltered, show the source at mag. 17.7 (R mags for the reference stars from UCAC-4). They also performed astrometry, getting the following end figures: 40.76; 43.5 (J2000.0, mean residuals of 0.1" on both axes). Spectroscopic confirmation is awaited. Guy M Hurst
