The images were secured with a 0.35-m f/6 Schmidt Cassegrain Telescope and SXVF H9 CCD camera. The object was also recorded on 11 subsequent images to a limiting unfiltered magnitude of ~18.5. Precise position: 17h 20m 15.37s+39° 15' 39.8" (2000) Offsets from galaxy:4" W; 2" N The object was not visible on the Digitised Sky Survey POSS II Blue plate (1989-07-02) or the POSS II Red plate (1992-07-21) or listed on CBAT's Minor Planet Checker. This possible SN was incorrectly reported as ASASSN-15pe on David Bishop's Bright Supernova having a Declination of "+308.739044" therefore it was not identified in Ron’s search for any current SNe at Declination +39 degrees. It was also not reported on CBAT's TOCP which has led to this confusion. There were therefore independent discoveries by Ron Arbour and ASASSN (but subject to correction of errors by ASASSN).
