NSV 12441
Nick James, Chelmsford, reports that he has detected possible
variability in SAOC 105311 (RA 19h47m13s DEC +18 43'48",1950)
on photographs taken for the UK Nova/Supernova Patrol. The SAOC
gives mv=8.8, Spectral Class K7. on 1991 May 9 he estimated it
at magnitude 8.9 whereas on a master slide of 1990 March 2 it
was slightly fainter at magnitude 9.3.
Mike Collins, Sandy, has identified the star as the suspected
variable NSV 12441 = IRAS 19472+1843 = BD +18 4258 = HD 350668
= Dearborn 18207 (latter has red magnitude 8.7, Sp=K5).
The entry in the NSV gives the photographic range as 9-9.5,
type LB and the identity S 8326 (Sonneberg variable),
originally discovered by Hoffmeister.
