SUPERNOVA 1991an IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY
C. Pollas, Observatoire de la Cote d'Azur, reports his discovery of
an apparent supernova of mag about 20.3 on pan films taken June
8.99 and 9.97 UT.  The object is at R.A. = 17h39m18s.13, Decl.
= +67 43'59".5 (equinox 1950.0), situated in a galaxy of mag 19-20
whose center is located at
R.A. = 17h39m18s.96, Decl. = +67 43'55".6.
SN 1991an appears visible at the limit of two films (mag about 22)
taken by D. Albanese on July 8.96 and 10.92 UT.  Nothing is visible
on POSS prints.  A nearby star (mag 17) is located at
R.A. = 17h39m12s.06, Decl. = +67 44'13".1.

PERIODIC COMET AREND (1991u)
S. Nakano, Sumoto, Japan, reports that T. Seki, Geisei, has
recovered this comet, as shown below.  The comet is diffuse and
somewhat condensed.  The indicated correction to the prediction on
MPC 13042 (ephemeris MPC 18469) is delta T = +0.01 day.
