N. Samus, Institute of Astronomy, Moscow, advises that the designation V4742 Sgr has been given to the possible nova reported on TA E-Circular 1806. Hitoshi Yamaoka, Japan, reports precise astrometry using an image taken by Berto Monard on Sept. 16.7UT which yields: RA 18h 02m 21.864s DEC -25 20' 32.22" (2000) using 102 UCAC1 reference stars (fitting error ~ 0".2). No source can be seen on any of the Digitised Sky Survey images within 3" of this position. Andrew Pearce, Nedlands, Western Australia reports an observation made on 2002 Sept 20.514UT when the nova was estimated at magnitude 9.0 based on a visual estimate with 20x80B using the AAVSO sequence. SUPERNOVA 2002ez IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY W. M. Wood-Vasey reports on IAUC 7967 the detection at Palomar of a possible magnitude 17.6 supernova on 2002 July 23.28UT at: RA 22h 00m 20.93s DEC -14 00' 22.5" (2000) which is 4"E and 18"S of the nucleus of an anonymous galaxy. SUPERNOVA 2002fa IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY W. M. Wood-Vasey also reports in the same IAUC as above, the detection on 2002 Aug 24.34UT of another supernova, this time of magnitude 19.4 at: RA 20h 52m 21.78s DEC +02 08' 41.9", about 4"E of the centre of an anonymous galaxy. SUPERNOVA 2002fb IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY A further LOTOSS supernova discovery has been reported on IAUC 7967. First detection was on Sept. 6.4UT at magnitude 17.1. The position is: RA 01h 57m 48.90s DEC +36 20' 26.3" (2000) which gives offsets of 17.5"W and 9.1"S of the anonymous galaxy's nucleus. Guy M Hurst
