In the meantime please enjoy a relaxed Christmas Day. V1722 AQUILAE (=NOVA AQUILAE 2009) E. Kazarovets reports that the GCVS team has assigned the designation V1722 Aql to this nova.(cf TA E-Circulars 2603 & 2604). SUPERNOVA 2009kl IN IC 2548 Discovery by Stuart Parker, New Zealand of a possible supernova (CBET 1993): SN 2009 UT R.A. (2000.0) Decl. Mag. Offset 2009kl Oct 23.66 10 07 56.75 -35 13 59.3 16.8R 22 "E,13 "S J. Prieto, Carnegie Observatories, reports that optical spectra obtained with the Magellan-Clay 6.5-m telescope (+ LDSS3) at Las Campanas Observatory on Dec. 21.3 UT shows it to be of type-II-P then 80 days after explosion. SUPERNOVA 2009km IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY Discovery by CRTS of a possible supernova (CBET 1996): SN 2009 UT R.A. (2000.0) Decl. Mag. Offset 2009km Oct 23.37 03 02 59.01 -14 49 01.9 16.5 7.1"E, 2.5"N S. Mattila, Tuorla Observatory et. al., report that a low-resolution spectrum of 2009 Nov. 7.0 UT with the Nordic Optical Telescope shows it to be a normal type-Ia supernova a few days after maximum light. SUPERNOVA 2009kn IN MCG -03-21-6 Discovery by R. Gagliano, J. Newton, and T. Puckett of a possible supernova (CBET 1997): SN 2009 UT R.A. (2000.0) Decl. Mag. Steele et. al., University of California, Berkeley, report that inspection of a CCD spectrum obtained on 2009 Nov. 9UT with the 3-m Shane reflector (+ Kast) at Lick Observatory, shows SN 2009kn is a young type-II supernova SUPERNOVA 2009ko IN UGC 4175 Discovery by LOSS of a possible supernova (CBET 1998): SN 2009 UT R.A. Offset 2009ko Oct 28.56 08 01 58.38 +15 03 34.7 16.6 1.2"W, 3.0"N Steele also reports a normal type-Ia supernova about a week after maximum light SUPERNOVA 2009kp IN NGC 6246 Further to the announcement on TA E-Circular 2594 of this discovery by Tom Boles, K. Kinugasa, et. al., Gunma Astronomical Observatory (GAO), advise that a low-resolution spectrum obtained on 2009 Nov. 6.4 UT with the GAO 1.5-m telescope shows it to be a type-Ia supernova near maximum light. SUPERNOVA 2009kq IN MCG +05-21-1 Discovery by R. Gagliano and T. Puckett of a possible supernova (CBET 2005): SN 2009 UT R.A. (2000.0) Decl. Mag.
